Fuller Industrial Park Development Plan

Anchorage

1973

The property owner retained Walsh Investment Company to create an overall strategic development plan to turn a 40 acre parcel in Anchorage, Alaska into a light industrial park.

When fellow local bar owner Skip Fuller won a 40 acre piece of land during a card game he came to Walsh Investment Company for help creating a plan to develop the property maximize its value.  A unique challenge was that the owner did not want to sell any of the land or develop it himself; he was only willing to lease the land on a long term basis. We created a layout for the industrial park, managed the platting and permitting process, and secured the first long term tenant for one of the lots inside the new park. Later when the owner had to foreclose on another tenant with unfinished construction we were reengaged to finish the job. Walsh Investment Company itself also became a tenant when we built Artic Self Storage within the park.
